APPLICATION
SODIUM CHLORIDE is a very versatile drilling fluid additive used in water-based drilling fluids to prevent the washing out of salt-bearing formations, increase the density, and stabilize the rheology and to aid in the inhibition of formations containing active shale.
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
The amount of SODIUM CHLORIDE to be added to the drilling fluid depends on its predetermined function and the type of system used.
