PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
HAEMATITE (Fe2O3) is a weighting agent used to increase densities of oil-based and water-based drilling fluids up to 26 lb/gal.

APPLICATION
- Increase the density of drilling fluids up to 26 lb/gal (3115 kg/m3).
- Control formation pressures.
- Stabilize the borehole.
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
The amount of HAEMATITE required to increase the density can be calculated with the following formulas:
- Barite required: HAEMATITE, lb/bbl = [1750 (W2 - W1)] / (41.66 - W2)
- Where W1 = Initial weight (ppg), W2 = Desired final weight (ppg)
PACKAGING
HAEMATITE is available in 25 kg sacks, palletized as 40 sacks per pallet.
