PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
NC-LIG P potassium-causticized lignite is designed for use in potassium systems to control rheology and reduce fluid loss plus provide potassium for shale inhibition. NC-LIG P is compatible with all water-based systems.

APPLICATION
- NC-LIG P may be used for rheology and filtration control and as a source of potassium in all water-based muds. It is especially effective for stabilizing the properties of muds exposed to high temperatures and contaminants such as CO2 and calcium.
- NC-LIG P does not require additional treatments with potassium hydroxide or caustic soda.
- NC-LIG P contains no chlorides and may be used with other potassium-base additives to formulate low- chlorides (KCl-free), potassium systems.
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
Normal treatments of NC-LIG P range from 2 to 10 lb/bbl (5.7 to 28.5 kg/m3). In high-salinity systems, it is preferable to premix the NC-LIG P in fresh water to enhance dispersibility, and then add the premix to the active system.
PACKAGING
NC-SIL S is available in 25 kg sacks, palletized as 40 sacks per pallet.
